1 Position Available = Machine Operator

We currently have a position available for a vacuum forming operator at Warringah Plastics. Warringah Plastics is a small/medium business located in Brookvale on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. You will have the opportunity to be part of a winning team and make innovative products for the industrial and point of sale industry.

An eye for detail, pride in workmanship and previous experience with vacuum forming machines would be highly desirable. Our culture is well suited for applicants who are reliable, continually striving for excellence, have a positive attitude and are team players.

Responsibilities and desired skills required for the position:

• General troubleshooting
• Focus on continuous improvement
• General knowledge of mechanics and materials
• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
• Knowledge of proper installation and removal of tooling/material from the thermoformers
• Knowledge of machine safety procedures
• Ability to read product drawings
• Ability to record metrics of the shift
• Ability to read the production schedule board
• Knowledge of the proper use of measurement equipment necessary to perform quality checks
• Maintain proper housekeeping in the work area
• Ability to read, understand and communicate English
• Ability to use power tools and machines like band saws
• Basic maths skills like adding, subtracting multiplying, dividing
• Able to walk and move quickly
• Ability to lift heavy sheets throughout the shift
• Ability to see and hear within normal limits
